Product detail

Ashtok Pure Brass Tope/Patila, Brass Tope with khalai

Product Details: Plain Brass Tope, also known as Brass Patila, is tin coated from the inside. The top is protected with a Stainless Steel Lid. Brass Kalai Tope retains heat, allowing food to stay hot for longer. Brass Patila has slightly rounded edges and a flat base for easy stirring, visibility, and food removal. Because brass is a good conductor of heat, using it to prepare your meal will take less time than using other metal tools. Brass utensils are less difficult to clean than other metal utensils.

A brass patila with a tin coating is a type of Indian cooking pot that is typically used for simmering, boiling, and making curries and stews. The patila is made of brass, which is a durable and heat-conductive metal that is suitable for high-heat cooking methods. The inside of the patila is coated with tin, which is a soft metal that is often used as a coating for food containers and utensils. Tin is safe for use with food and does not react with acidic foods, making it a good choice for cooking.

The tin coating on the inside of the patila helps to prevent food from sticking to the surface, making it easier to clean and maintain. It also helps to distribute heat evenly, ensuring that food is cooked evenly. The brass exterior of the patila is also durable and long-lasting and can withstand high temperatures, making it suitable for simmering and boiling.

The patila/Tope is characterized by its wide and deep shape and it's often used to make curries and stews, which require a lot of liquid and a long cooking time.
