Viscose and modal are bio-based fibres derived from plants. They are extracted from a compound called cellulose, which lends stiffness and support to plants. This cellulose is realigned to create a fabric that is soft, durable and breathable. When both the fibres are combined, modal imparts lightness and a rich feel to the fabric. Both the fibres are responsibly sourced and have a low carbon footprint.

He encouraged her to absorb experiences, learn skills and live a life that looks for happiness in the little things. “Did Baba not believe in aspiring for success?” she wondered. She also wondered if success bore any objective meaning. And in the meanwhile, she followed Baba’s advice. Not because she liked to do things blindly. But because her father’s words sounded like a charming promise.
Little did she know that his words would make her content with her personhood someday. Also, push her to strive for betterment. Success meant different things to different people.

Wax-resist dyeing has been a part of so many ancient civilisations across the world and can be uniquely characterised by the local motifs and designs used. Specifically in India, Batik is said to have over 2000 years of history. Materials such as wax or rice starch was used to create the resistance to dye and thus create the Batik designs. The entire process involves various steps such as drawing the basic pattern, redrawing using wax and then applying the dye. Then, the wax is removed after the fabric dries. This is done multiple times to create various patterns with different colours. The process of dyeing is something that has been passed down by generations of artisans and the stunning designs created by these master craftsmen are timeless.
This saree has Batik work on handloom mulberry silk fabric. Silk exudes a regality that very few other fabrics can match. The process of producing silk involves multiple stages such as extracting silk threads from the cocoons of silk-worms, twisting multiple silk threads to make strong threads and weaving the threads on handlooms. The silk worms are made to feed mainly on Mulberry trees for high-quality silk. India is one of the top producers of silk in the world and the fabric is always in demand for its visual attractiveness. People associate silk with special occasions and richness. Silk is alluring and can boast of a grand appeal as well as a tinge of nostalgia. On the whole, silk is a fabric that can never go wrong. Her kohl-lined eyes are the kind, one would get lost in. They are alive and shine with a hint of stolen sunlight. She is most alluring, perhaps because she’s not trying to be! Innocent demons inside her eyes recklessly play with matches – have you seen sparks so pretty? She was born with wings. She was born to be real, not perfect. It hadn’t been a perfect day. There had been a skirmish at her workplace and she had made a big deal about it. One is allowed to make a big deal about things that are important to you, she had said to herself. She felt like a little wild thing that was never sent to school. But life moves on and here she was – a little disheveled, a tad flaw-some, but awesome regardless.Raag Asavari is a fundamental raga and she wears the pink-gold piece of drape as a rebel, that she fundamentally is.
Linen is one of the oldest and most widely used fabrics thanks to its versatility. Particularly in countries that experience hot summers for a large part of the year, Linen exists more as a soft summer breeze that just happens to cover up their body as clothing! It feels oh-so-comfortable to the skin while appearing crisp and sturdy even in humid conditions. However, it is not a bed of roses to make a Linen saree. The stunning Linen saree come from pretty hardcore and labour-intensive procedures. Flax is grown (it takes around 100 days to cultivate) and its fibre is separated before it is woven into fabric. Each of these processes involves manual labour and extensive physical work. The separation of flax fibres involves a process called retting and the weaving is done with specific counts as per requirements. The earliest Linen in Egypt is said to have had a thread count of 450 to an inch, which is finer than anything woven today! In a world of factory produced fully machine made fabrics, the Linen stands stubbornly demanding the involvement of hand-work. So, the Linen that reaches you is a story of these heroes who pack in that extra little bit of love along with their amazing work.
This saree is a blend of linen with zari that gives the fabric an ethereal look and feel! Zari has always been used to infuse that special glow, making fabrics look festive and full of shine. As the zari celebrates you by building a halo of light around you, revel in the beauty and join in the celebration!

She’d never forget Shanaya. From the moment she first walked into the classroom, her curly hair brushed into an almost angelic halo, Meera knew that Shanaya was special. She had this almost cherubic way about her, and an innocence that sparkled in her deep grey eyes. But what captivated her the most was the way Shanaya’s mind worked. She seemed to live in a parallel dimension, dreaming up new worlds and new adventures that they could embark on, together. That friendship had been short-lived, but it taught Meera a valuable lesson in owning your individuality, with all its quirks. From Shanaya, she learned to live each day to its fullest, and to make each moment count. And, in doing so, she would go on to create so many beautiful memories that were her life’s truest treasures.
Live life to its fullest when you wear this elegant red handloom Jamdani saree.
Jamdani is an incredibly intricate weaving technique. Each motif is inlaid into the fabric using a supplementary weft technique. Here, extra weft threads, often denser than the base, are added using individual spools while weaving. This technique makes the motifs appear as though they are floating on the fluid cotton fabric. Jamdani weaving is highly time intensive and it takes anywhere between several weeks to months to weave one saree. It is indeed a labour of love.

This red and white made-in-heaven mul saree with screen-printed design is a must-have this festive season!
The designs on this fabric come alive on our made-in-heaven mul sarees through an intricate process known as screen-printing. This process involves the usage of a mesh-screen made of synthetic polymers that is strung onto a metal or wooden frame at high tension. A stencil with the negative image of what is to be printed is placed beneath the screen and emulsion is applied to create a positive image that lets the dye seep through the screen. The dye is then applied on the fabric through the screen to print the desired image.
The base fabric for these sarees is the forever-favourite made-in-heaven mul.

She’s beautiful because she’s at peace with herself. Beauty is how you feel inside, that reflects out of your entire being. The early morning sunshine on her face and shoulders make her happy. She thinks about things which have been around for way longer than we have – the sunshine and the winds and the oceans – she feels blessed! Don’t you? Nature is incredible. She had gone for a run this morning and it has nurtured her soul. She likes running on woody, grass areas – she has weeds entangled on her shoes – they are weeds to some, ‘wishes’ to her.Raag Bhairavi is an early morning raga and is said to be the queen of melodies. The sarees are painstakingly handwoven, with master weavers dedicating a few days to each piece. In fact, the tradition of Chanderi weaving dates back to the 13th century. In the 1350s, Kosthi weavers migrated to Chanderi, a town in Madhya Pradesh, from Jhansi, from where they propagated this weave. It is said that the royals of several dynasties famously favoured Chanderi fabrics for their richness and utility in the searing hot summers of the plains.
